Which ASX ETFs Hold Nvidia, Tesla, AMD and Alphabet? (2026)
Which ASX ETFs hold Nvidia, Tesla, AMD and Alphabet, and how much: weights in V500/IVV, VGS, FANG and SEMI, plus what $10,000 in each buys of each stock.
Almost every broad US or global ETF on the ASX holds Nvidia, Tesla and Alphabet, but in very different amounts. At 30 June 2026, Nvidia was 7.5% of the S&P 500 ETF V500 and 5.3% of the global ETF VGS. The concentrated FANG and SEMI ETFs hold roughly 10% or more. AMD is the exception: it makes up a large share only of semiconductor ETFs like SEMI.
How much of each company the main ASX ETFs hold
| ETF | What it tracks | Nvidia | Alphabet | Tesla | AMD | Data as at |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| V500 (and IVV, same index) | S&P 500 | 7.5% | 5.8% | 1.8% | Below top 10 | 30 Jun 2026 |
| VGS | Developed markets ex-Australia | 5.3% | 4.2% | 1.3% | Below top 10 | 30 Jun 2026 |
| FANG (Global X) | 10 US tech giants, equal weighted | 10.06% | 9.71% | Not held | Not held | 14 Oct 2026 |
| SEMI (Global X) | Global semiconductor companies | 11.44% | Not held | Not held | 9.81% | Oct 2026 |

NDQ (BetaShares Nasdaq 100) also holds Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla and AMD, since all four are Nasdaq 100 members. It's 60.5% technology overall (BetaShares). See best Nasdaq ETF.

What $10,000 in each ETF actually buys you
Weights are easier to judge in dollars. Using the table above, $10,000 invested buys roughly:
| ETF | Nvidia | Alphabet | Tesla | AMD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| V500 / IVV | $750 | $580 | $180 | under $150 |
| VGS | $530 | $420 | $130 | $130 or less |
| FANG | $1,006 | $971 | $0 | $0 |
| SEMI | $1,144 | $0 | $0 | $981 |
Top-10 cut-offs: V500's tenth-largest holding was 1.5% and VGS's was 1.3% or less at 30 June 2026, so AMD was at or below those levels.
So if you want meaningful Nvidia exposure, a broad ETF gives you a modest slice (5–8%) alongside hundreds of other companies. FANG or SEMI roughly doubles that, but in a fund of 10 or so stocks. For Tesla, no ASX ETF gives you much more than a broad US fund does. For AMD, it's a semiconductor ETF or nothing.
Which ETF for which stock
- Nvidia: FANG or SEMI for concentrated exposure, or V500/IVV for a smaller slice within a diversified fund. Nvidia was the largest holding in V500, VGS and SEMI.
- Alphabet (Google): FANG (about 10%), or any broad US or global ETF (4–6%).
- Tesla: V500/IVV (1.8%) or NDQ. Tesla isn't in FANG's or SEMI's current holdings.
- AMD: SEMI (9.81%). It's a much smaller weight in broad funds. Full comparison of semiconductor ETFs, including fees: SEMI vs SMHG vs SMH vs SOXX.
The concentration trade-off
FANG and SEMI give you more of the names you want because they hold so few. FANG has 10 stocks at about 10% each (Global X). If one falls 30%, the fund drops about 3% from that stock alone. In V500, the same 30% fall in Nvidia costs about 2.3%. In a single-stock position, it costs 30%.
These funds also overlap heavily. Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon and Apple are top holdings in V500, VGS, NDQ and FANG alike. Holding several of them mostly doubles up on the same handful of companies (how much ETF overlap is too much). A common approach is a broad core (IVV, VGS or DHHF) with a small concentrated satellite if you want a bigger bet on a theme (ETF vs shares: core and satellite).

Buying the shares directly instead
You can buy Nvidia, Tesla, AMD or Alphabet shares directly through a broker with US market access. That means a W-8BEN form, US withholding tax on dividends, and potential US estate tax for holdings above US$60,000 (IRS). The ASX ETFs above are Australian-domiciled and avoid those issues (how to invest in US shares from Australia).
Frequently asked questions
Which ASX ETF has the most Nvidia?
Among the major ASX ETFs, Global X's SEMI (semiconductors, 11.44% in October 2026) and FANG (10.06% at 14 October 2026) hold the largest Nvidia weights. Broad funds hold less: 7.5% in the S&P 500 ETF V500 and 5.3% in VGS at 30 June 2026.
Is there an ASX ETF that holds Tesla?
Yes. Broad US and global ETFs hold Tesla, e.g. 1.8% of V500 and 1.3% of VGS at 30 June 2026, and it's a Nasdaq 100 member held by NDQ. It wasn't among the holdings of FANG or SEMI in October 2026.
Which ASX ETF holds AMD?
For a meaningful AMD weight, a semiconductor ETF: AMD was 9.81% of Global X's SEMI in October 2026. Broad S&P 500 and global ETFs hold AMD too, but at a much smaller weight, below their top-10 holdings.
Can I buy Nvidia shares on the ASX?
Nvidia isn't listed on the ASX. You can buy it through a broker with US market access, which involves a W-8BEN form and US estate-tax considerations, or get exposure through ASX-listed ETFs that hold it, such as IVV, V500, VGS, NDQ, FANG or SEMI.
